Saturday, 4th July 2009;
Today we had class in dhoby gaut and ECU lecturer, whose name is Linda, taught us about negotiation exercises which was continued from the previous class that we had before. I came late for the class, so i missed the first activity that was already done. Next activity was we were asked to line up according to our birthday date. We could not talk verbally to others, but we could communicate to each other by action only. One of my friend just simply used their fingers to show his birthday to others and to find where he should stand. After all students were lined up, Linda told us to form a group of 3. We played negotiation excercise where we have to negotiate between 2 persons, and another person became the commentator only. I was the one who became commentator, so I just listened to my 2 friends conversation. After that activity, it was continued by second negotiation activity which included 2 roles, those were employer and employee. Around 10 minutes before the class ended, Linda briefed shortly about the real negotiation test that would be held on the next day, so that we knew roughly how the test would be.
